Review on PEARL IZUMI Men's Escape Quest Splice Shorts - Small, Black/Screaming Yellow: A Dynamic Blend of Style and Performance by Julian Davidson

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Pearl Izumi isn't the same as before.

Got 2 pairs of these for $38 instead of the $50 they usually charge - I ride a trainer bike indoors in my garage - so didn't think I'd need $100 shorts after I have worn my previous pearls. ;The seat pads in both sets are completely contourless - it's like wearing an adult diaper; I have an M based on my waist size and they are a bit tight on my hips (6ft 190lbs) but given the condition of the "pre-curved and curved" padding (I call it BS) - I can't imagine how it is would looks like L. Slightly tight fit - that's why I ordered L from Sponeeds who are replacing them. I leave them at home as a spare, maybe for a rowing machine - there's no way I go out looking like I'm wearing a diaper - it's not at all. the previous Pearl Izumi shorts they replace. Is there any way to know if they are fake? I always thought Pearl was a good brand and these are just rubbish.
