Not sure I like this board. I've had it for a little less than a month but it looks like it's at least a year old. I bought the black one because I'm tired of the light boards that get stained all the time but you can see all the knife marks. See photo. Other reviews mention a fishy smell after a wash that went away. I always hand wash because even though companies say the product is dishwasher safe, dishwashers always ruin things. It seems solid enough, but wow, it's loud when crushed. I put a tea towel underneath to absorb the sound and that helped a bit. My sister, a gourmet chef, recommended this brand so I'm ready to try it, but the jury isn't ready yet.
