Set it to 40 for our 80 lb dog and accidentally save the setting for our 50 lb German Shepherd. It hit her so hard she literally ran back screaming. She was very ill and is now 15 years old. Very effective simulators are rarely used. Compared to many other controllers, this one has a very simple and clean design. Highly recommended. The remaining 8 ineffective collars went into the bin.
