I like the mount in general and the magnet function works very well for me, but there is a very critical flaw in this device. The double-sided foam tape that holds the mount to the dashboard will fail in the overheated environment of the car in the summer. Before applying the tape to the dashboard material, I thoroughly cleaned the dashboard with 91% alcohol and a microfiber cloth. about 30 seconds, apply foam once all the moisture from the alcohol has evaporated. I had four failures in the last warm period. They were all applied last September and held up well through the winter and spring but once we started getting 85 and 90 days it was all over. They all fell. Some wore nothing and two wore very light accessories (less than 3 ounces). So far all attempts to contact the company have been unsuccessful. I'm an SUV and this is in my Jeep so keeping my various equipment safe is vital and I would honestly pay double or even triple the price for a solution that guaranteed traction if the Jeep did 150° in July reached. If you live in a cold area they are fine, but beware of the summer.
