White film and opaque residue that floats on the water surface and settles in the acrylic pump, causing the EK 140 D5 pump to disassemble and requiring the use of soap, water and lots of paper towels to remove it. I contacted EK and asked for a refund and they told me they would just send me more of this crap. Another reviewer has the same issue around the same time. This stuff didn't do it when I originally added it to my loop in November 2017, fast forward to January 2020 after I emptied and refilled the loop for a GPU upgrade and that was the problem. Also, stay away from their soft Duraclear tubes, which turned green and probably seeped plasticizer into my loop to top it off. It's not a plasticizer, it's a cryofuel. I only use 100% distilled water and the only problem is cryogenic fuel. I had to flush my system with distilled water about 5 times to remove everything and then thinking the plasticizer from the EK Duracrap tube was the problem, I made the mistake of adding more, a very small amount this time because I not sure if it was a plasticizer or cryofuel problem. In fact, white foam and opaque sediment are floating on the surface of the water inside the pump (and I believe water is flowing everywhere!). Thank goodness I didn't try a third time after switching to hard acrylic tubing. EK customer service told me they would not refund even though I have the 2nd bottle of my order here unopened! Stay away from this and all EK crap! Trust me they do overpriced shit! I bought all my Bykski 1/4 fittings and tubing for hard tube upgrades including 90 degree serpentine fittings polished nickel and they were literally half the price (Ali Express) and in terms of quality EK - Consider fittings! At EK you pay for brand awareness not quality and the RMA return process is a joke, they are not responsible for their products! Avoid EK and all their products!
