Three of the four sockets on our hall light stopped working due to defective sockets. I was unable to make an exact replacement due to the physical limitations of the existing hardware. They were longer than the original rosettes but look great in a chandelier. They are easy to install. Simply pull the wires out of the old socket and unscrew, then feed the wires through the threaded hole in the base of the new socket and screw into the lamp. Attach the wires according to the color code, white to silver and black to brass screws. Of course, this should all be done with the breaker off to avoid electrocution or accidental welding that could ruin your day.
