Takes a lot of suction but works great if you have it.

My Bissel Zing didn't have enough power to run the thing on short pile carpets (brush stopped). Luckily my central vacuum has good suction and the brush works really well with it. It's fairly easy to clean - it has a hinged door for cleaning the turbine, just open it and dust with a vacuum cleaner. The brush itself naturally tends to pick up long hairs, but that's to be expected. Only the Dyson Tangle-Free Turbine seems immune to this, but it's tiny. If anything changes I will update the review.
