SIGNIFICANTLY REDUCES EMI BUT NOT COMFORTABLE IN SHORTS

The photos below are intended to provide some data and help dispel some of the ridiculous rumors and reviews I have read about this product. In short: 1. It has no direct impact on the laptop in terms of speed. Someone said it made their laptop slow.2. It does warm up over time, so as a heat shield it's so-so.3. This dramatically lowers the EMF. Look at the photos. The steel griddle reduces the EMF by 2/3, from about 300MG to about 100MG. This brings it to 3, a ratio of 100:1.4. The plastic lid has rough edges, so you don't want to wear shorts when using it. I'm actually considering swapping mine out for a different model for this reason, but the abrupt EMI attenuation makes up for the discomfort. A NOTICE. It works equally well both holographic and rubberized side up. And the sharp edges are slightly curved up with the rubber side up, so it's more comfortable. This is how I use it now.5. RF and electric fields are mostly unchanged, but unless you live in a cave somewhere on the mountain, RF and electric fields are everywhere. The EF readings in my photos are random. They vary due to local cell towers, devices, etc. But the 1 or 2 volts per meter you're seeing in these photos is negligible compared to the 240-430 I'm getting near 5G small cell stations. Will it prevent health problems now? ? Nobody is sure. I'm turning 68, and all my life I've been amazed at how companies just launch something without clinical trials or research and then wait for people to start having problems. Whether medical or electronic, the main thing is money. I am old enough to remember Thalidomide. Researchers have found that 3G (2.45 GHz) can cause diabetes in laboratory rats. The 5G rollout is the latest unknown. So who knows if radiation from laptops and/or cell phones will cause problems. This mat will not stop RF signals reaching or coming from your laptop. EMP just. EMF is said to cause a decline in human fertility. A problem for young people, not so much for me. Incidentally, EMF also spreads to the body when using a laptop, almost as badly as from below. I might buy another brand known to be more comfortable and then compare them. When I can find a softer pad that reduces EMF to 10mg or less, comfort outweighs it. But this model kills the dragon. FOLLOW-UP: I tried a more convenient "vegan" leather-covered brand, but it was less effective than a plain cookie sheet. So I sent it back. Incidentally, the scanning speed with my little EMF-390 is slow enough that I was able to snap photos within seconds of making the change to illustrate how dramatic the reduction is. You will see it in some photos. You may notice a slight "dip" in some of the chart photos. This is the result of lifting the laptop to insert the spacer. During this time, the EMF falls to almost zero. Stay tuned for more information. ADDITIONAL INFO: I should mention that the above readings from my EMF-390 are to be taken as relative values or indicators - no doubt calibrated at laboratory level. The device displays completely different numbers, but the basic differences are the same. A German lab recently ran tests with this equipment on 4 or 5 of these handheld EMF meters, including a fairly expensive model that claims to be the most accurate. According to a German lab report, it was only slightly more accurate than Cornet's, which appears to be similar to the EMF-390 I used. But this lab said none of those tested were accurate, nor did they match the advertised frequency response. Range from 100Hz to 26.5GHz. I will post the results on my site as well as on Revain under QC EMF-390.w3afc.
