My bottle of top coat was cracked and had leaked inside the box, but I'm not holding that against the product because I was given a refund.All told this is a pretty great setup. The trick is to use very thin coats and give ample curing time under the lamp after each -- and don't forget to cap the ends of the nail. Gel polish works differently from normal nail polish, but if you're willing to give yourself a couple of attempts to adjust, the longevity is absolutely worth it. Another thing I love about gel is that once it's cured, it's CURED -- never again will I spend an hour and a half on a manicure just to screw it up when I bump a nail too hard on something before it's fully dry. Gel also adds another layer of strength to the nail. I have one nail that is sort of bent just by the shape of my finger, and consequently the enamel is always trying to flake away and weaken the nail. If I keep it covered in gel, I no longer have that problem.Also, since I saw another reviewer comment on "the press-on nails" that came with the kit -- those aren't press-ons! They are forms for the polygel nail kit that is included in this set. Do a YouTube search to see how to use them. I haven't tried the polygel, but I hear good things about polygel in general and modelones' formula in particular.I will say that the white polish does not work for me at all. Even with some practice, I am unable to get smooth coverage without a lot of bulk. It always comes out streaky. The other colors are a good product for the price, though, and the extras, like the water transfer nail decals, are an easy way to make an otherwise basic manicure look snazzy and professional. The cuticle oil and tool are also a nice touch, especially if you plan to use gel repeatedly, as the acetone you have to use to remove it can really dry out the cuticle. Applying it to the cuticle (and ONLY the cuticle -- make sure it doesn't get on the nail) also makes it easier to clean up any "misses" before you cure a coat. The gel polish will wipe right off of the oil.
