2018 Honda Accord 2.0T Touring - WOW!

There is so much to say about this Ktuner that I will split this review into several key segments1) Packaging. Micro USB connector and some stickers. The packaging was nice, but nothing extraordinary. 2) Installation process. A few things to note: You will need a laptop with this 1.2V Ktuner, the Ktuner software installed on your laptop, and a battery at 50% or more. Charging on the laptop, Ktuner itself and, most importantly, stable internet. a) It literally took 5 minutes to flash my Honda ECU. You first install the Ktuner software on your laptop via the Ktuner website and then transfer your laptop and tuner to your Honda. Connect the OBD side of the Ktuner to the OBD port and the USB side to the laptop. Lock your ECU with Ktuner when prompted on your laptop, select the tune you want, save to factory settings, then press Flash.b) It takes about 5-10 minutes to flash your ECU, you see a progress bar on your laptop. Once the flash is over, turn off the device, wait 5-10 seconds, then turn it back on and you're done. c) Please note that you will see all warning codes on the dashboard, but they will disappear after a few kilometers of driving. After that you have officially tuned your car. d) Also note that if you download TunerView on your Android device (an app only found on Android) you can connect to your Ktuner connected to your device. OBD Honda via Bluetooth. This allows you to change saved tunes in the app on the fly. The app allows you to view all sorts of information such as oil temperature, speed, boost levels, etc. Although you have to pay $5 for the app, it's not free. but it's worth the price. 2) Performance - To that tune, there is an absolute difference in daytime and nighttime performance. Here are the main improvements. (Also I don't have any parts, I drive all stock). a) With the factory setting, there is a noticeable delay in revving up the turbine when you open the throttle after a complete stop. You can literally count 1-2 seconds before the Accord actually starts moving and then the turbo kicks in. I've also noticed a lot of wheel spin every time I've started the car from a standstill, almost every time I've started the car. And every time the wheel spins, the ECU cuts power to the wheels until the wheel stops spinning. So not only will you have a delayed start, but your wheels will spin and you will lose some of your power until the wheels regain traction. I have a brand new set of Michelin all season tires with tons of tread but these aren't sport tires so they offer less grip. b) In Stage 2 setup, as soon as you step on the gas after coming to a complete stop, the Accord charges forward without hesitation and the Turbo kicks in with a much more powerful kick. Not only that, I haven't had any wheelspin on any of my many starts. The Accord just launches like a beast and pulls harder and harder. c) Definitely a huge increase in horsepower and torque in all power bands, it's so shocking that I almost lose my voice every time I start on the Autobahn or pick up speed. Whether I'm riding 0-60, 70-120, there's always power. d) One more note - the Stage 2 melody provides a buttery smooth transition that was not included in the default melody. To give you the difference in shifting, every time I was in Sport mode with the stock tuning, every time I slowed down, the transmission would downshift hard and cause such jerks. The switch seemed unrefined. With the Stage 2 melody, the Accord downshifts so precisely and smoothly that you can hardly tell it's downshifted. The shift changes are enormous and definitely noticeable. e) So there is one caveat that I noticed in this tune that I'm still trying to figure out. If you have a 2018-2021 Honda Accord 2.0T TOURING with adaptive dampers that adjust the suspension depending on the mode. I get firmer suspension with better road feel, but - with the Level 2 setting in Sport mode (which activates the most aggressive version of the tune) the Accord no longer adjusts the suspension. mode you will always have a softer ride and less stiff suspension, in other words you won't get that sporty stiff suspension anymore. Once I figure out how to re-enable the adaptive dampers with a tune, I'll update this review. with instructions on how to do it. All in all - Ktuner is a must-have, easy-to-install tuning that will bring your Honda Accord 2.0T to life and create a new breed of beast. This is a complete overhaul and refinement in everything. I would highly recommend this product to all Accord drivers.
