Cute but not protective enough

I bought a similar case with almost the same pattern on it before I bought this one. That case protected my phone well but it started to yellow. I thought maybe this case was the same or similar as far as protection goes but its not. The case is very pretty but i cannot risk my phone cracking so i went and rebought my old case again even though i know it will yellow again but id rather have a slight yellowing then the back of my iphone cracking.
