Good alternative: air filter and accessories
I bought this air filter for my 2006 Escape and comparing it to the original Ford I saw almost no difference other than this one Filter element is slightly thinner than the original product I bought for $28. I'll see how it works and update my review accordingly. Installation was pretty easy considering I've done it before. If in doubt, just watch a few YouTube videos on the process. I'm used to buying auto parts and installing them myself whenever possible as I find it more reliable and of course cheaper than having a car service do it.
