This is a well made and detailed pin. It's durable and doesn't appear to be prone to breakage with normal use. This pin comes in a cute box, perfect for gift wrapping. The pin is made of shiny gunmetal metal. Mine has a few spots where the coating is blistering. This is jewelry, so the sebum will discolor over time. It's a safety pin, so it shouldn't make too much contact with the skin, and discoloration shouldn't be a problem much longer than if it were a ring or bracelet.
