Review on HOTSYSTEM DE8T 1A 180 AA 9L3Z 1A 189 CM5T 1A180 AA DE8T 1A180 by Mark Fleming

Revainrating 5 out of 5

They worked, and true, no programming was required.

I used them on a set of winter wheels/tires on my 2016 Ford Fiesta. The first thing to note is that after the replacement it took a few days to get the expected 'Tire monitor system error' message as the computer no longer saw the original sensors. I figured it would happen faster or within the first few minutes of driving. I've checked with Forscan (free Ford Scantool software) and found that the BCM is getting readings from the new sensor, but the list of learned sensor IDs still shows the old ones. Now that I have the retraining tool I decided to leave it alone to see if they would actually retrain and sure enough the next morning the warning was gone. I checked the learned sensor IDs again and they did indeed change to the new sensors. It's most likely a Ford trait if he notices seeing the same 4 sensors reading for hours and decides to look into that rather than a trait specific to those sensors, but it's good to know that it is is working.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Good but not great
