Works perfectly. Here's the trick

Works great. Here's the trick. Do not unroll the plastic wrap; Just find out which side the edge is on. Then seal the windows and remove the tape so all the tape is exposed. While folded, cut a piece long enough to leave an extra inch of plastic wrap on either side of the window. Take everything and stick the side that will be the edge of the sheet to the tape across the top of the window. Now all you have to do is drag it to the bottom of the window. Tighten the sheet and glue the bottom and sides. It takes me less than five minutes to finish the window and I don't even have to compress the film because it has no creases. Make sure you tape it straight to the top of the window, or make sure you have enough excess so it still lands on the tape on the sides if you're crooked. At the end of winter I will take them off, roll them up and store them for reuse next year. If you don't scale them down, or at least crop them a little, you can use them multiple times. You only need to buy a roll of tape.

Pros
  • Saves energy and reduces heating costs
Cons
