UPDATE: As much as my Revane enjoyed chewing on this, I had to take him out of his cage because of the metal holding the wooden blocks together. A medium to large sized bird can bite through metal and injure itself very easily. I should have paid more attention to the hardware before buying - I knew it was small but didn't realize it was made out of such cheap thin metal. That might be fine for a small bird, but I wouldn't recommend it for animals that can gnaw all the way through wood and expose metal. My Revain parrot really loves it! He very rarely plays with toys, but he got used to them immediately. I set it up as a chew toy rather than a ladder because it needs more beak exercise. Luckily it worked exactly as I had hoped! You can see his chew marks in just a few minutes so I don't expect it to last very long but the price is reasonable as it can be easily replaced if needed. The hooks and baits are not big enough for parrot cage poles, they are bigger than a parrot cage. So if you plan to use this for large bird cages, plan to get creative with the bait.
