Over the last year I've become a bike connoisseur so I couldn't help but add a bike to my collection. I chose purple (smiley purple). I was disappointed as the color wasn't as light as in the picture (I think I'm still on the hunt for good purple cycling shorts), I would call it a light lavender gray rather than purple. The quality of the fabric, how thick it is and how beautifully tailored it was gave me hope and I was not disappointed. I especially like how thick and wide the belt is, as well as how high the waist is and how secure it is. The lack of a front seam is also a big advantage. These shorts have multiple "crumpled" fabrics. I think to emphasize the butt area even more. That's normal, I don't notice any difference in either case. I usually go for a medium size, but I went for the large size because I wanted a little more length and I'm glad I did. The plus size is comfortable but also compression. So if you REALLY want compression, go for your normal size, but if you want a little more room to lounge, go up a size. Keep in mind that the fabric is also VERY thick, which can weaken the elasticity a bit. So if you're still very concerned, go up a size and you'll probably be fine. The price is more than reasonable for the quality and craftsmanship, I would imagine Thesis is a big brand easily selling for $70 a pair. I will for sure buy more.
