Does its job perfectly! For reasons unknown to me, my duffel bag (which I currently hold my air mattress, air pump, small pillow and 3 Mexican duvets, aka "bed in a bag") has started to dampen a bit. I honestly don't know why, maybe the plastic of the mattress outgass, or maybe just the humidity in the air in Southeast Texas, I don't know. What I do know for sure is that I cut off the top of that 20-pack and put the whole damn thing in a duffel bag and it seems to be pretty good at retaining moisture. I don't know how silica gel actually works, but damn it works. Got exactly my recommendation.
