I've been grinding my own beans for a number of years. My daily grinder was an entry-level Cuisinart grinder that does its job perfectly. I bought this manual grinder to have an easy-to-clean, simple, and well-made grinder for the more expensive local roasted beans. This coffee grinder met all requirements perfectly. The grinding degree setting is very intuitive and gives me a large adjustment range. The millstones (so far) appear to be well made and work quickly with the grains I've used. Remember this is a fully manual manual coffee grinder. The handle offers plenty of leverage, but you'll find that the hand holding the cylinder itself does just as much work. The chopper is very light, so it can feel a little flimsy when you're grinding it if you're not holding it. It takes me about 4 minutes to grind a full container (about 7 tablespoons of whole grain). and a well-made mill. I will update my review if any part of the grinder fails.
