Makes wrist and forearm workouts fun

From everything I saw at CES this was the only product I went for. I actually first found their competitor, the DynaFlex Powerball, but chose the NSD Spinner brand instead because it sounded like they had better customer service. I also liked that they had an affordable wind-up version that didn't require a cable. You wind it up by turning the ball in the direction of the arrow (see attached picture, the arrow is stamped on the green part). I've read that these balls are popular with climbers as a forearm exercise and are fun. use it, so I decided to try it Pros: - You don't have to worry about losing the cable. You can take this thing anywhere and try it. - Easy to use - I take it with me when I watch TV or just walk around. I've found that using the ball has helped stretch my forearms and arms and reduced the pain significantly - I can't attest to that, but when the ball spins at high RPM it takes a lot of effort, to hold the ball so I feel like I'm doing something to gain weight power. Cons: - If you have sweaty hands like me, it's sometimes difficult to spin the ball - Very confusing range of options. Finally, I admit that reading and paying attention to the headlines is very important. Here is an overview of the range - $20: NSD Power Essential Spinner = regular ball, no tach, no auto-start, no vibration up to 15,000 rpm, no tach counter, with auto-start, no vibration up to 15,000 rpm. start, no vibration up to 15,000 rpm **what I have**$50: NSD Roll 'N Spin Rainbow Lit AutoStart Spinner Autostart Gyro wrist and forearm trainer with LED light Multi-Lit == no counter ball for speed display, with autostarter, Has LED lights that light up different colors depending on the rotation speed, no vibration up to 15,000 rpm. No vibrations up to 15,000 rpm. Offers more resistance than plastic balls. Inertial Resistance: 19 kg at 10,000 rpm (350 Hz) 3.2 kg at 10,000 rpm (450 Hz) "up to 41.3 lbs" $75: NSD Power Ultimate Winner Precision Sterling Spinner Gyro Wrist (GOLD COLOR) = Ball with speedometer, WITHOUT automatic start. Developed for higher speeds. It should work vibration-free at speeds of up to 27,000 rpm. Overall since they are not expensive I should have tried them. Update: I still love this ball, but I recommend not letting it get very hot anywhere. Since I take this ball everywhere, I left it in my car overnight in the hot summer weather and think the glue that attached the handle to the ball has melted. Now I can't keep hold of the ball when I spin so easily.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • I vaguely remember
