Review on Enhance Radar Detector Performance with Mirror Mount Bracket for Uniden DFR Series Detectors by Josh Sharp

I bought this for Uniden R3. The clip works. Basically everything works on the mount. In addition to short Chinese bolts. I had a problem with this mount. There are 2 custom made "wings" that clamp the adjustable center piece. This is so you can adjust and tighten it in place. I don't know if mine broke or if anyone has ever made this thing, it's just cheap but the end of the screw is barely long enough to catch the threads. Maybe a thread packs. He couldn't tighten it enough to hold the detector in place. No matter what I did, he collapsed. Then, over time, the bolts and threads on the plates are torn off. I solved this horrible design by simply drilling out the plates to fit the bolts I had lying around and slipping the nut on the other side. Works great like this.
