Dear Blue Yeti Performance

Let me start by saying that if money were no object, I would love this mic. But the reality is that people care about values. I always try to get the best bang for my buck. Here's a comparison to my current Blue Yeti mic, which I bought on sale four years ago for $70. The microphone works very well. It's sharp and clear, just like ASMR or radio quality. I've been using it for a few weeks now and the sound quality is exactly the same as the Blue Yeti mic. I have used it in many programs and games such as Discord, Skype, Fortnite, Overwatch, etc. My friends can't tell this mic apart from the Blue Yeti. It also shares the same characteristics as the Blue Yeti. It has mute, volume, gain and pattern settings. This mic has a few things that the Blue Yeti doesn't have. It's USB C. My Blue Yeti is Micro USB. He has software that supposedly lets you control the microphone. I say supposedly because the program doesn't work on my computer. It doesn't recognize my microphone even though it works fine. I've tried reinstalling the software and uninstalling the drivers, nothing helped, so I'm using this without the software. So it was as if the software didn't exist for me. Another thing I don't like is that the mic stand opening is smaller than the standard mic mount that holds my Blue Yeti. This means that an adapter is required for most arrows. And if you're using this for streaming or gaming, you really should be using a barbell. Using the standard mic stand means it's too far from your face and your voice won't sound as clear. Holding it this close to the table also allows the microphone to pick up any table vibrations from the mouse or keyboard. The looks of this mic are way better than the Blue Yeti. It looks much more modern, sleeker and has a lower profile. However, the software doesn't work for me and the performance is similar to Blue Yeti but costs twice as much. The mic stand hole also requires an adapter to fit my boom. With all these concerns about similar performance to the Blue Yeti, I don't think the premium price is justified. If you want to get the most bang for your buck, the Blue Yeti still leads the way. This mic is by no means bad, it's just not twice as good as the Yeti.
