Works as expected, not as good as a professional sharpener but very well for most people. I recommend this

Ordered on Monday and received on Wens. I am a core customer and this shows once again that this is great value! I did a lot of research online about knife sharpeners and finally settled on this model based on using diamond sharpeners. It was reasonably priced and the reviews I found online were mostly good. During my research I read many comments about pencil sharpeners. It seems that many people who left negative comments were expecting a less than professional sharpening result. I even watched a video of a pro sharpening knives with professional tools and then demonstrating their sharpness. He then used an electric sharpener and again checked that the sharpener had dulled the knives. Although they don't cut through various papers as easily as professionally sharpened knives, they still do their job quite well. Well, today I also sharpened all my Wüsthof knives. like an old chicago flatware that i no longer use, they were very bland. This includes both straight and serrated knives. I tested the knives before and after sharpening on different types of paper. Most of the knives performed very poorly in preliminary tests. (I professionally sharpened the Wüsthof about 4 years ago). They did a pretty good job in the tests that followed, as did the tests in the video mentioned above after using an electric sharpener. I was hoping for that. While not professional work perfection, they are significantly better than before and more than suited to my needs. And this is something I can do on a regular basis and not waste the time and money going to a professional!
