Review on πŸ”΅ JBL Flip 3: Splash-Proof Portable Bluetooth Speaker in Blue - Must-Have for Music Lovers by Paula Pickett

Nice little speaker; Charger is finicky

Well I've had this little speaker for about a year and a half so thought it was time for a review! First of all: great sound, especially for this size. It still sounds like it did when I bought it. No wheezing, no creaking on high notes. Very clearly. I don't have a car stereo so I use this thing in my car. It fits perfectly in a cup holder. I usually use it 1-3 hours a day, almost every day. Admittedly, I'm very tech-savvy. (My phone would have died a thousand deaths by now if it wasn't in an apocalypse-proof case.) I've dropped this speaker many times, splashed it, taken it camping, used it in a stuffy bathroom many times. right before the shower, and I regularly accidentally leave it in a very hot car (I know. I shouldn't). But like I said, it's 18 months old and still works great. I don't have a suitcase either, so he goes through all these adventures without armor. A complaint is raised. The port is picky. He seems a bit weak. This means that charging will stop working if the speaker and charging cable are not in the correct position. (You can tell this by the little white dots that indicate battery life stop blinking when it's not charging.) This isn't such a serious problem; I just set it in the perfect position and leave it alone, and boom, it charges just fine. However, enough for one star. I usually charge a few times a week. Not bad considering how often I use it. One last note: my dog loves it (see photo). When I turn on music and lay it on the floor, I usually find it with its head on it or right next to it. I think he likes the vibe!

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options
