When I received this I thought it was great at first - very durable materials and looks cute. But when we first started using them, I realized that physical materials are a double-edged sword (literally!). It's just dangerous. There is no "sacrifice" at all and the metal pins are very sharp and hard. If you make a little mistake by sticking them in the corn and biting the metal, that's no good. It's a shame because it's fun. I have more boring corn holders that I would say are made in a 'more appropriate way' - just sharp and strong enough to be easily inserted into corn without being dangerous. I hated it but I threw them away.
