I recently serviced my air conditioner and the technician found that my air conditioner was drawing more amps (I think he said amps) than it should. After a little investigation he determined that the cause was a bad connection in my junction box which was generating a lot of heat. The heat warped most of the plastic inside and it was only a matter of time before something happened. It was very easy to install. As an avid DIY enthusiast, it took me less than an hour to swap out the old box for the new one and try it out.
