I made what I call an Australian mount (attached to the front of the grille bumper) for my ham radio antenna. It worked absolutely perfectly, the angle allowed me to run cables from the front of the Chevy Colorado into the cabin with ease. I couldn't find a cable with a screw end so be aware you may need to cut the PL-259 and install a new one after the cable is connected to the truck. Otherwise you will need a large hole to get the end of the PL-259 into the cab of your car. I recommend. Cons: The PL-259 connector is not the type that can be unscrewed to run cables through cubicles, walls, etc. Requires a hole large enough to accept the entire connector, or cut off the factory connector.
