I use this tape for sticking templates to rough cut boards to route out the shape with a pattern bit. It works great for this purpose. It holds very well, it's easy to apply - the backing comes off easier than the old tape I used to use. It's very strong tape. It pulls off easily and doesn't leave any residue/doesn't hurt the wood. I use MDF for my templates and solid hardwood workpieces, so I'm not sure how well it works with thin veneer. The only negative is that this tape can't be ripped off with fingers, you have to cut it, and if you use scissors they will gum up quickly due to the adhesive. So I would suggest using a box cutter instead.
