Makes LA Water Drinkable

I grew up with the best drinking water (New York) so living in LA really shows how awful and undrinkable the water is. I'm tired of contributing to plastic bottle waste so I got the idea to use two of those broken packs of Quishu (just 4 pieces of charcoal) in a 2 liter jar and let them soak for 36-48 hours ( yes, that's a lot of water to quiche ratio), then I pour quiche water into the Brite to filter out the char and dust residue (Brita is useless without quiche, FYI). kishu/brita and compared it to a crystal geyser. The tap and the Brita tasted the same (disgusting). The Kishu water, steeped for over 36 hours and poured into Brita, was the purest tap water I've ever drunk from a faucet here in LA - drinking it next to a crystal geyser was honest. very close in terms of smoothness and made me realize that the geyser crystal is probably just filtered bottled tap water. I was completely shocked. I don't know how often I have to replace this system as the water is so dirty here, but I'm really so happy I finally found something that works! Edit: I recently switched to a 1.5 gallon glass soak jar. because I had to drink more water and it works just as well, maybe tastes a little more chlorine but still good. Also, I don't think I mentioned that this method won't work if you put the quiche straight into the shaving pitcher. Something in the quiche absorbs the plastic and it ends up in the water (at least I could taste it), so I soak the jar first.
