    Reliably clean drinking and cooking water!

    What don't you like? Easy to use and at the end of its life you can recycle it with potting soil or dark, damp basements. Repeat buyer 1 year so far. I have tried another brand but this is the best brand out there.

    Works great: water cooler and filter

    This was our third repeat order from Kishu and we are still happy with this product. We use them in our water cups to give tap water a fresh, clean taste. At the end of their lifespan as water filters, we put charcoal in the fridge or in the cupboards. Highly recommended.

    The taste of water is clean and fresh!

    I love these things! Of course, I can't test exactly how well they clean the water. I can definitely say that the water was delicious. Very clean and fresh. Much better than our city tap water. One boil up in the middle and it will last a few more months. The "spent" charcoal can then be composted or used for deodorization.

    Not as effective as Brita filter

    Whilst I like the natural quality of this product and the plastic free water filter concept it is unfortunately not very effective. It filters water, but not as well as a traditional Brita filter. Even after 24 hours, the water was tastier, but not as clean as a Brita filter pitcher (By the way, the Brita filter is almost obsolete).

    User-friendly and environmentally friendly way to drink water

    Plastic bottles gone. This is a great filter. You must leave it for 12 hours. I bought a giant jar which I filled (about 1 gallon) and left overnight. In the morning I use it for tea and drinking water. Every 12 hours I fill a huge jug with water and filter it. Economical and environmentally friendly. Please refrain from using plastic bottles and use tap water with this filter.

    Simple Green Water Filtration

    , I have been using Kishu carbon water filters for over a year after searching for a plastic free water filter solution. Kishu charcoal is very simple: you only need to cook the charcoal pieces once a month, and the charcoal will last for four months. The only downside is that it takes 4-6 hours to fully filter your water jug: my solution was to have two water filter jugs at the same time so I always have clean water.

    Makes LA Water Drinkable

    I grew up with the best drinking water (New York) so living in LA really shows how awful and undrinkable the water is. I'm tired of contributing to plastic bottle waste so I got the idea to use two of those broken packs of Quishu (just 4 pieces of charcoal) in a 2 liter jar and let them soak for 36-48 hours ( yes, that's a lot of water to quiche ratio), then I pour quiche water into the Brite to filter out the char and dust residue (Brita is useless without quiche, FYI). kishu/brita and…
