Revainrating 4 out of 5

Cool and versatile labeller, but with limitations.

The idea behind this small label printer is great, but like anything new, there is definitely room for improvement. If a half star was available for the rating I would give this a 3 1/2 star but it's definitely closer to 4 stars than 3 as I didn't have a choice in between. What I like: - You can be as creative as you like with labels. I don't know of any other label printer that can do that. I've always used Avery labels for larger, more design-oriented labels and Dymo Label Maker for quick labels, but it offers quick one-off labels with lots of design options. Even if zinc cartridges are expensive, they do a lot. labels and do not use ink. I like it very much โ€” The cartridges are very easy to change to make labels of different sizes. You just need to check and make sure the app shows the right size when you design it, otherwise the label size will be printed according to the reduced or enlarged ratio. - The app always tells you how many feet/inches of labels are left. What could be better: - It took two attempts to connect the printer to my wifi - It took three attempts to insert the label cartridge before the printer realized it was there. - After the printer recognized the presence of the cartridge, it did not recognize the width of the mark. The screen kept saying there was a 2" label instead of the 1" label it actually was. - I don't understand the "standard" print option. It prints faded, draft-like colors. I don't know why anyone would choose that if the color is coming from the paper; It's not about using extra ink, so why choose less for your money? Only when "light" is selected does the label come close to the correct color depending on the application. - Solid patches are blotchy, not a good solid color. - The color does not "spreadโ€ and disappear. comes out on one side. The labels are not always centered, so sometimes the edges are cut off.โ€” The label maker sometimes prints two labels when only "1" is selected in the Number of prints field. I'm trying to determine if this is related to something I'm doing, but so far I seem to be doing everything as advertised. This is a riddle. โ€” The app is so small on my phone that it's not easy to make labels out of it, especially when you try to move the elements with your fingers. I installed the app on my iPad, which makes it a bit easier to use. A desktop app for this would be a game changer, but the app isn't available for macOS, only iOS. The choice of design in the application is very limited - and fonts, and images, and much more. That's pretty standard for the course, so I'm not scolding this labeler for it. But there's an obvious workaround for the design-oriented types, which is to design the entire label in another program, then import it into the label as a photo, and print it that way. Conclusion: This is a smart little labeller. I love making attractive labels and this label maker is very easy to make. There are some flaws that I hope will be ironed out, but this is way better than any other label maker I've had.
