We bought 2 of these 10TB drives to replace the smaller ones (3TB WD) in our home NAS. Our selection process was based on data that indicated they were very reliable. So when one of them failed mechanically or sonically within days of installation, needless to say, we were surprised and disappointed. We sent both back and replaced them with two same size drives from another manufacturer. Yes, we know that even the most reliable products can suffer from "infant mortality" from time to time. . . But with our positive track record with "another” manufacturer, we saw no reason not to return to what hasn't let us down.
