I bought these to help cloth covers for my washer & dryer adhere to the frames (they are in a tiny room attached to the house, with a security door that allows wind & dust/dirt & rain to enter, so they collect all this on top; without strong magnets to keep the covers in place, the wind would blow them around & then off). Beyond that application, I'm finding them much more helpful than regular frij magnets for keeping stuff where I put it. They're also just fun to play with! I've noticed they chip pretty easily, but am told that these are an inexpensive version of a magnet that can be quite costly, because they're made with rare earth mineral (metal); it's affordable for me, so I'm not worried about the chipping. The multiple sizes are helpful.
