Not the strongest tripod as the legs are a bit weak but read on. It feels like it's designed to be lightweight rather than holding a giant brick. But I wouldn't shy away from attaching a DSLR with a small telephoto lens to it in moderate winds. When I tilt the ball 90° to bring my phone closer to the ground, it "almost" falls off when my phone is attached to the mount, but a simple weight pocket on the opposite leg will quickly solve this problem. Because it seems intentional, it's just done, I have no complaints. This allows me to easily hold my Galaxy Note 8 as well as the flashlight and microphone. By slightly tightening the knurled screw, the swivel ball locks very securely. I'm most impressed with this because it looks like a high quality ball lock. The build quality is excellent for the price. I'm a little picky about it and I have to say I'm impressed. It looks like a well-made setup, albeit a very lightweight one. The legs extend about 3-1/4 inches further, giving you a slightly sturdier tripod or extra length when using it as a selfie stick. This tripod still works great. My only complaint is that I bought it for $25 and then realized I could have gotten it on sale for about $18 the day it arrived, but I would buy it again for $25.
