My first impression of these resistors is that they are well made and of good quality. The supplied T-connectors are of standard basic quality and can be found in every cargo port. The resistance wires are very well insulated and must be very strong. The heatsink around the resistor makes it impossible to see the resistor itself. This heatsink appears to be solid aluminum and has well-spaced cooling fins on all but one side. I estimate that about 75% of the resistance have radiating fins. 2 connection points are cast on the heat sink so that you can screw the resistor onto a metal surface. The T-connectors worked perfectly and were easy to use if you've used them before. If you are unfamiliar with this, you should know that you have to lift the plug slightly to allow the plug to wrap around the main cable. Then insert the T-wire all the way into the 2nd hole until it stops (make sure the wire comes all the way out of the metal clamp). Using pliers, crimp the metal terminal onto the wires - gently tug on the wires to ensure they are secure. Then close the plastic cap on the crimp connector. Finally wrap the connection with good quality electrical tape to minimize contact with water/moisture as these types of connectors are prone to corrosion. I use them to mitigate the hyperflare on my truck. As an extra precaution, I placed a thin piece of improvised finned heating tape (just let the sticky side alone make contact with the 1/4" fins) on the flat side of the resistor. This was not done to help heat dissipation, but to prevent the resistor from sticking to the plastic of the headlight (the resistor gets very hot with constant use of brake lights) - without it, it was not possible to screw them to the metal body add extra wire. I will most likely do this and solder the connections properly everywhere. With the right precautions and careful handling, this product should perform perfectly for a very long time.
