Review on ASICS Contend Running Shoes Black Girls' Shoes for Athletic by James Shavers

Had to send back. The length of the shoe was good but unlike last year's Contend 4 and Contend 3 before, they are too narrow and my son's feet are not wide at all. Oddly, one side of the tongue is attached and the Velcro is barely long enough, leaving a bunch of exposed Velcro on the shoe. The straps on previous models were long, but these are ridiculously short. My son loved his previous Contend 4's (of which he's had several pairs) so I'm really sorry that ASICS made these changes. The worst thing is that we now have to go to the shops to try on different brands of shoes - agony for a 10-year-old boy.
