Great for privacy with ventilation to keep bugs out

I bought these curtains for the rear quarter windows on my 2015 Subaru Outback. I bought these for my privacy to sleep in my car and they were just what I needed. I like to travel and camp in my car in the desert. In more urban areas, I often prefer to sleep in the back of the car rather than staying in hotels. I've spent many nights in different parking lots (with permission). For parking lot sleeping to work, you need privacy and block excess light from the parking lot. These curtains are part of my solution. Sidewindow. This is mainly because I bought these double sided as well as similar single sided versions of these shades. I wanted to compare them and have layer options. I ended up using both sets, 2-ply over 1-ply (though not always). I have 3 layers of fabric (2 outside the window and 1 layer inside). I actually liked having layering options for more or less light blocking and privacy. However, if I had to choose just one or the other, I would go for these two-tiered ones. For those curious, my solution also included other full coverage tints for my rear window, front side windows and windshield. All other tints (except for the windshield) were set with suction cups, which were more difficult to work with and progressively worsened over time as they got heavier. However, these sweater fabric glasses have always been easy to put on. Also, they hid in a much smaller space. Now I needed most of my other shades to be opaque to limit the amount of light that hits the parking lot. However, I didn't want my vision to be completely obscured; I really enjoy being able to see from every tent/shelter I sleep in. These hues were great at allowing me to see outside while completely blocking others' ability to see inside. They also do an excellent job of limiting the amount of light coming in. I also have the benefit of being able to lower the rear side windows as much as I like and get more/less ventilation or cooling without having to reinstall the curtains. Also, due to the way they work, they prevented bugs from getting in when my windows were open (although bugs could get in at the base of the shade. This makes traveling a detour and they probably won't find/follow it) . , privacy with insect-blocking ventilation? These nuances are great. There's one thing you need to know. My seal on the edge of the door frame at the bottom of the window, where the curtain rubber runs, has started to loosen a little at this point due to the regular application of force. However, any shade using this technique can have the same potential problem. Besides, it didn't do much. If the fairing comes loose more, I just glue it back in place. It's not a problem I can't handle.
