I'm totally blind. The power switch on this plug is on the right side if you have it with the ground pin down when plugged into the wall. For the most part, I like Zigbee devices. For a completely blind person, this is the easiest way to connect to the Echo. No further actions with the phone. Plug in your device for the most part and make sure it's online! Then Alexa Scan for new devices. Wait about 45 seconds for the process to complete. Then make sure you can turn the device on and off. Alexa will then rename XXXX to XXXX. She will come back and ask you if you want to do it. Answer correctly or YES. Then she will come back and say that the deed is done. At this point you are done. Wi-Fi devices and other devices require additional setup to get them into your Alexa account. I connected them to an old Echo 2nd Gen Plus which I use for most of my Zigbee devices. Currently over 40+ devices on this Echo 2nd Gen plus and with just a Wi-Fi connection and the response is fast! No impact on my network, unlike these Wi-Fi devices. I need to add more plugins; just haven't done it yet. Probably do this at the same time as adding some other Zigbee devices. I would suggest that when adding Zigbee devices; You do that little by little. It's far you know which device is what. Yes, you can add multiple devices at the same time. But if you have, say, 4 forks! and you add them all at once! For example, the name might look like this: First Plug, Second Plug, Third Plug, and Fourth Plug. Which plug is now which. That's why you have to add things one by one. Notice! If you need to restart your device, simply press and hold the power button on the plug for about 5 seconds to restart it. Then tell Alexa to search for new devices. I had to do this for at least one connector. I didn't have to do the other connector.
