This worked great on my 2011 GMC Yukon. Saved a lot of money compared to the dealer. As others have written, if your car is 2011 or newer, you will need to program the fobs in the shop using a GM scanner. everything, and he programmed both remotes for $60. As for the keys, you can cut them wherever you want. I went to a local hardware store who refused to cut the foreign keys. So I went to a local ace who charged me $30 for a cut key. I think key cutting is the biggest unknown. I think many locksmiths, some local hardware stores or aces will do. I've seen that Lowe's and Home Depot most likely won't do that. In principle, everyone "can" do it, but not every company is "ready" to do so. Once the key is cut, programming the key to work in your car is easy if you have a working key. Just turn the working key in the ignition to the second click in the ignition, you don't have to start the car (but you can start the car). Wait for the "Security Light" on the dashboard to go off. Then within 20 seconds, remove the working key, insert a new one into the ignition switch and turn it to the second click before starting the car. Wait for the security light on the dashboard to turn off. The key is now programmed and you can use it to start the vehicle. All in all I am very satisfied with this purchase. Just wanted to let everyone know what additional steps are required to cut and program the key. After all, you will probably save a lot of money compared to other trips. Took me $140 total to buy two keys and remotes after buying them after all the programming and savings. However, the price the dealer gave me was $250 for a key. so i saved some money.
