Review on Dorman 923 036 Tail Circuit Board by Richard Ahmar

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Fast, easy and inexpensive repair!

I decided to buy this replacement board rather than the whole assembly. I'm glad I did. The process was pretty easy and quick. An ordinary household hair dryer with high power was enough. Break off all the tabs from the old panel and heat a small section of the edge of the panel for about 1 minute. Take a large flathead screwdriver and pry open the circuit board at this point. Continue with the next section of board until finally it is completely removed. The whole process took me about 5 minutes. Old sealant is dirty, fibrous, but easily removed with a screwdriver and hands. Apply a bead of new sealant to the groove of the new plate and secure to the taillight assembly. The board just "clicks" into place. I think you can use any of the following sealants: 3M 03602 Black Super Weatherstrip Adhesive (which is what I used; cheap) Permatex The Right Stuff Gasket Maker (very similar to the OEM sealant) Black RTV Sealant

Pros
  • Lighting and lighting accessories
Cons
  • Very expensive
