Great kit. Used to adjust the length of a custom throttle cable, an idle return cable purchased years ago that I suspected was too long. Too much gas play. The smallest barrel in this set was perfect. Lightly solder about 1/2 inch from the end, cut off the existing nipple, pull the barrel out of this kit, a drop of high-temp threadlocker, done. Since it's a gas return cable, I'm pretty sure it's permanent. mod, since there is practically no tension on this cable. If it was a throttle cable I might have reservations as a permanent mod. This kit worked for my needs.
