Review on πŸš— Vibrant 1142 3" Ultra Quiet Resonator: Enhance Your Vehicle's Performance with Premium Noise Reduction by Ernest Duckett

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Vibrant Ultra Quiet does it AGAIN!

Vibrant Ultra Quiet is an amazing resonator! I bought 2 of these (one for my 2007 Nissan Titan and one for a 17 VW Passat 1.8T R-Line) and would not hesitate to buy again. Both my cars are modified and the resonator is very reassuring from cold starts to hum and especially rasp or CIS [map in spoke]. I'll go over its performance relative to each machine below along with modifications to give you an idea of how efficient the UQ will be. My 2007 Nissan Titan 5.6L [You can use the same comparison for the Armada as well. Same engine.] AEM intake, JBA long pipe ceramic header, Cajon HFC and 3" Banks exhaust [*with Borla muffler 400436] and tuning (I have Uprev and BullyDog GT tuners. I prefer BullyDog to Extreme mod! ).I will say that when I switched to JBA headers I had to replace an 8 year old Banks muffler with a Borla muffler.I think it sounds fantastic with the Borla 400436 (Heavy Duty) but if you If you have this setup and prefer a little more sound like a Banks exhaust, you might want to look at the Borla XR muffler.Cajun Pipes recommends either a Borla muffler or a JBA muffler for a JBA LT installation.Anyway, me put a Vibrant UQ on and it quieted the noise in the cab AND if you have a load (like when towing). I was about to tow a cross country trip without the UQ and had to rush to a muffler shop to have it fitted because they wouldn't have done it e, without him it was bearable. My truck sounds great and isn't annoying. Sounds great when starting, idling, AC accelerating, long-haul and towing. Would definitely recommend, especially for the setup I have. UQ is now 4 years old and is gaining momentum. My '17 VW Passat 1.8TI has an AEM intake, a 3" resonator Magnaflow exhaust (it's pretty much a rear exhaust) and a 3" CTS downpipe (which I wouldn't recommend. I ended up having to put the stock downpipe back in because of rumble in the cab, vibration from installation issues, and a ticking that wouldn't go away). I put the UQ on after installing the CTS downpipe hoping to get rid of the hum and noise. The exhaust didn't squeak and I know UQ would take care of that. It did a good job of reducing overall noise, but not the cabin rumble, especially when going uphill. It was like being on an airplane. I think a full 3" exhaust is not what the 1.8T is designed for. Needless to say, I replaced the CTS downpipe with a stock one and installed a UQ. The car is mostly back to stock noise with a hint of exhaust noise which is normal. I have no hum and no annoying exhaust noise 4 Fireworks Highly recommended.
