Best suited for dual exhaust systems with 2.5-3 " pipes

I drive a 2014 Dodge Charger R/T every day with long headers, no coils and 2.5 straight pipes -" pipes and 3" pipes in the middle and loved it. However, the rumble on the freeway was so terrible and unbearable that I hated the rattle. I decided to install resonators, since silencers change the tone and resonators usually dampen it. Vibrant Ultra Quiet does it AGAIN!

Vibrant Ultra Quiet is an amazing resonator! I bought 2 of these (one for my 2007 Nissan Titan and one for a 17 VW Passat 1.8T R-Line) and would not hesitate to buy again. Both my cars are modified and the resonator is very reassuring from cold starts to hum and especially rasp or CIS [map in spoke]. I'll go over its performance relative to each machine below along with modifications to give you an idea of how efficient the UQ will be. My 2007 Nissan Titan 5.6L [You can use the same comparisonโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Has a punched through core
Cons
  • Requires a socket

Perfectly handled the aftermarket run of my Cam 5.3 liter Silverado

A little background first. I have a 2009 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Crew Cab 4wd with a 5.3L LC9 engine. Unfortunately I lost a couple of pushrods/cams at about 125,000 miles due to oil issues. Since these valve train parts needed to be replaced, I decided to upgrade rather than keep the stock parts. After all the work was done I installed the soft drag cam, removed the AFM/DOD system (V4 mode), installed new tappets/followers/springs/trunnions, installed a new high pressure oil pump and a coldโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Designed to reduce exhaust noise promotes continuous exhaust flow
Cons
  • Out of fashion
