The main downside for me is that they don't grow as big as the pictures suggest and then they don't stay as big as they are originally either. As for the other beach balls, I leave them in the water when the kids aren't playing and they stay the size of marbles. They started shrinking after the first day! They are about half the size they were after sitting in the water for a few days. I always have to add more to keep the kids entertained. Great as a business theory as I need to buy more to get through the summer but I definitely won't be buying these again. They also don't look as bright as in the pictures (probably just a good photo, but still). And I highly doubt the pot is actually 50,000. I knew it was small from reading the reviews but figured maybe people just didn't realize how small the beads are when they dry. I definitely don't take the time to find out, so I didn't include it in my ranking. I just thought it deserved a word.
