I have used drain augers like this before but they all had interchangeable heads depending on the drain and the type of clog you are dealing with and I was surprised and a bit disappointed that this auger was only a small fixed type of auger has head. Another issue I have is that there are 2 forward and reverse controls, which is confusing when trying to manipulate the auger to clear a jam. My opinion (not clear in the instructions) is that the primary controls are designed to extend or retract (forward or reverse) and the secondary forward and reverse switch is designed to rotate freely in either direction to avoid a jam drill, which is normal, z except when the second switch is in (r) than forward in the main controls, move the auger backwards, it just looks like a design flaw. But once I got used to it, I found it wasn't that big of a problem, just a little wonky and confusing. I love how the drill bit is positioned and how the handle is positioned which makes the tool quite easy to use and control. I just wish it had interchangeable heads and the controls were less confusing.
