Parts that need to be screwed together are overmolded so that none of the parts fit together properly. In addition, the base does not screw into the post, even with the help of tools and several people, the threads of the screws do not match. In its current form, the lamp base is only partially screwed into the bracket and is not very strong. However, customer service was very quick to reach and offered assistance in resolving the issue. I have given up on a new lamp since doing this work and have amended my review accordingly, but noticed that other reviewers had similar issues to mine, making it clear that this was not an isolated issue. I commend their excellent customer service but still think this product review is appropriate.
