Review on OXO Good Grips Silicone Measuring Cup Set - 3 Piece Squeeze & Pour by Tammy Formigoni

I bought this to use with my coffee pourers so I can control the jet flow when pouring. At first I was hoping to microwave water and pour it out of this mug, but found the container was too warm to handle. Also a chemical odor can be detected in the steam when I boiled water in it. I don't know if this silicone material transfers to water, but since I use it to make coffee I chose to use it for pouring only. I am now boiling water in a 2 cup glass which seems to be made with poorly designed spouts these days. I take a glass mug out of the microwave and immediately pour it into this silicone mug. This works great - no heat is transferred so it's comfortable to hold for the few minutes it takes to brew coffee, and the flexibility makes it easy to control the size of the stream of water you want. In general a good product.
