After reading another post I bought an IDS blast gun which looks the same as the Amazon guns but uses a 7/8" (22.225mm) nozzle hoping to find a nozzle smaller diameter (20mm) I calculated it took 4.8 turns for the thickness of my tape When it is wound 5 turns and trimmed with a razor blade it fits my blast gun perfectly, any other larger sized blast gun diameter and same length (35mm/1-3/8") from $50.00. I haven't tested how quickly they wear out compared to the more expensive ones, but you can buy 3 of these for the price of the rest. I think it gets you a lot further and if you're not as sure as I was at first, at these prices it's worth a try. Update: I sandblasted every inch of every component of the 12ft rail. This tip no doubt holds up much better than the ceramic and carbide tips I've used in the past. I seriously doubt (actually I don't doubt) that I will ever go back to carbide. The cone side looks almost new and the exit end shows no signs of wear. The investment is worth it.
