Cheap, tricky but works

We used this with a thermal transfer machine (bought from Amazon) as well as hand painted stencils. After finding the right combination of stick, application and drying time, we were very happy with this paper. Our method that works: 1) Apply a thin layer of blue gel deodorant. No antiperspirant. A little. That's the stickiness that sticks to the ink. 2) Wait about 10 seconds, there should be almost no deodorant left. Place the stencil on the deodorant. Leave it on for less than 5 seconds, imagine putting a stamp on it, the more you play with it the more it can smear. You can't wait too long. The longer the better. If you have a lot of dark fills in your stencil here, wait even longer. Like 5 minutes. deep minimum. It's like. wide open linear work, almost no filling. The more dark spots, the longer the waiting time. Note. If your deodorant isn't sticky enough, it will smudge. If your transfer ink doesn't dry: it's smearing. But if you find the right combination: beautiful. Take my advice and spend less than $10 on a stencil primer. This material is much easier to use than deodorant. Less picky. At the same time, the screen printing ink settles very well! Almost too good! As mentioned in other reviews, make sure you get it right the first time or you will have a hard time removing it. Either way, stencil paper is great if you use it the right way. If you don't want to experiment, then buy more expensive screen paper.

I use it for hand drawn stencils and it works as it should, nice clean transfers.
