My dad became a programmer in the early 80's so I've been with computers for as long as I can remember - when I told him about him, the little one Robots, he was skeptical but intrigued. I asked him to help my kids (10, 8, 5 and 4 years old) set up and take their first steps and we were ALL impressed. First, Artie is amazing; not necessary for work, but certainly worth mentioning. Setup is very easy and while we didn't need it, I later saw a quick setup video that showed the steps so easily my 8 year old was able to set it up and get up and running. In fact, the hardest part was unscrewing the battery compartment, which wasn't too bad. I also really appreciate that while we come with multiple markers, we can use almost any without worrying about stocking specialized markers or hoping they don't discontinue the product and then the accessories. It's happened more times than I can count and I really appreciate the flexibility. The interface is simple but packed with powerful commands once you see what Artie is capable of. All of my four kids loved having this to complement our educational toys and I'm an artist so I like to mix coding with creativity. It was amazing to see how many of my older daughters have already learned about their STEM and Maker Space activities in school and how quickly my younger children have adapted to the principles of coding. We LOVE this little guy so much, he's a welcome addition to our family computer and homework. area ready to go when we are ready to experiment.
